Writing for the cut-off
A viewer scrolling a feed reads roughly the first 60 characters of your title before it trails off. That is where the promise has to land. Titles that build to their point, with the interesting half at the end, lose most of their audience to an ellipsis.
Descriptions have the same problem in a sharper form. About 150 characters show before the "more" button, and the vast majority of viewers never press it. If a link or a call to action sits in paragraph four, treat it as unread.

Do keywords in the description help ranking?+
They help YouTube understand the video, which affects where it gets suggested. Writing naturally about what the video covers does that job. Pasting a block of repeated keywords does not, and breaks YouTube's spam policy.
